Wow. Following last Wednesday’s announcement that the rumors of #BenAffleck directing and starring in his own #solo #Batman movie were true, the comments I’m reading and arguments between fans are amusing,… And we’ll BATshit insane. Pun intended. I posted a friend’s article on Facebook in #geek groups and even my own page. I enjoy a good geek debate don’t get me wrong but these got a little outlandish. Even for my standards and they’re a bit unconventional. From what I’ve seen so far, fans and critics either love #Affleck as #Batman, absolutely love, or hate, like a burning hate. There’s no gray area in between. None. Not just the thoughts of his acting beings he going to be The Bat in the upcoming #JusticeLeague film.. But the idea of him directing and that old Chestnut that everyone jumps on the bandwagon of.. And seemingly one of their only arguments in a good debate.. All I have to say is.. #DAREDEVIL.. I can’t even count how many times I’ve read that.

Here’s one way that argument makes no sense when it comes to this debate. #BenAffleck didn’t write nor direct that movie. On a side note I actually enjoyed the movie. Also, they loved #RyanReynolds as Deadpool.. Even though Green Lantern was even admitingly terrible by the actor himself. A dig was even made in the movie at the other movie. I’ve noticed #geeks will take any opportunity, the mouthy, cocky seemingly self loathing ones, to run their mouths…. Repeatedly…. And tear each other down. Often contradicting those same arguments in other posts or blogs. Can’t help but think they don’t often speak up with their actual voices in the real world and love the chance to be a bully. Either way, I’m sure Ben isn’t sweating it. Sitting on his pile of cash, and his success in other directing projects. He’s brilliant at it. More so than acting in my opinion. I just can’t wait for him to have this chance to prove the exact opposite to the people who hate him. Because, you see they all have Oscar’s those people on the blogs and social media. Sorry had to. Ok sorry not sorry. I find it quite unusual and actually sick that humans who have seemingly been judged for a huge chunk of their lives are soooo judgemental. Sorry a bit of a rant but fits the bill. I’m optimistic and very excited for the solo Batman project. I’m hoping.. (please please please) it’s called “The Batman”!! To me, Affleck was a perfect #BruceWayne. Emotional and very under the map. Cocky but the low key kind. Justice and vengeance field. The #solofilm is said to debate sometime around five years from now.
